Summertime: Sun, Sand, and Support for Prevention Needed Now!
Wednesday, July 24, 2013 | 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific

It's summer time! And as we enjoy the outdoors, beaches, and warm summer nights, members of Congress will also be coming home for the August Recess! As champions for prevention, this is a critical time to engage our members and show them how the Prevention and Public Health Fund is working in their communities. During this Web Forum we will hear from Senator Harkin's staff who will talk about recent efforts on the Hill to support the fund and share what some Community Transformation Grant (CTG) communities are doing to educate their lawmakers. We will discuss strategies to engage members of Congress over the August Recess to educate them about how their communities are benefiting from the Prevention and Public Health Fund. Please join us in this discussion as we continue to make prevention a national priority.
